The company’s founder, Christian Laveille, has expressed his desire to reduce his involvement in hands-on project work and the day-to-day business of the company. Effective February 1st, 2024, Christian will transition to a role as Executive Consultant - Advisor, supporting the Calvagone team as an advisor and mentor, allowing us to keep benefiting from his long-lasting experience and knowledge on the many projects he worked on. The rest of the team remains unchanged. Leadership will be assumed by Emilie, Andreas, and Erno.
Our objective remains to grow and to consistently strive for personal interaction with our clients, providing state-of-the-art pharmacometrics support in drug development. As a team, we eagerly look forward to fruitful collaborations with our clients and continue to support the adoption of e-Campsis as the preferred simulation platform in the community.

The title of the presentation is: « Towards a generic, mechanism-based model to predict in vivo PK behaviour for LAI nano-/microsuspensions ». The conference intended to provide insights to the clinical applications and benefits for the patients, the available technologies and recent development, how to use advanced pharmacokinetic modelling in the definition of the formulation, … More information on the event can be found here.
Calvagone team in Shanghai Christian, Erno and Emilie have given a 4-day NONMEM basic training in Shanghai. Participants gave very positive feedback, and are eager to learn even more!… « This is a course to show the thinking on best practice of population approach to modelling your data. It combines the level of details of some statistics (just about the right information) and pharmacometrics, which is unique to other class/projects that I have experienced. » « I feel really great about this training and know much more about the fundamental thinking behind the technical things. » « I like the course atmosphere which is full of discussion. What is more, I love hands-on sessions, if we have more time I suggest that we could practice more. »

Clinical Trial Simulation Training at Lyon University In collaboration with Exprimo (Ruben Faelens), a 2-hour session in Clinical Trial Simulation was organized at Lyon University as part of the Master’s program curated by Emilie. The 10 students managed to explore the PK model for Sunitinib. Four students struck gold at the end, managing to create an efficient design that proved biosimilarity.
nlmxr is an open-source R package for population PK/PD modelling developped by Wenping Wang and Yuan Xiong, in collaboration with Occams (Rik Schoemaker and Justin Wilkins).Christian, at that time as an Exprimo member, has built a bunch of simulated datasets from a large panel of PK and PK/PD models and some of them were used to challenge nlmxr.
